Ambush Bug's very first appearance occurs during a Superman/New Doom Patrol team-up. Ambush Bug reveals himself as a villain and kills a man on live television. When the heroes show up to bring them in, the Bug runs circles around them with his teleporting power and looney attitude.
BUG FACT: In his earliest adventures, he required little electronic bugs to teleport. IE he could only teleport to one of his bugs. Also, the Bug costume was always drawn to include some circuitry showing through, presenting the idea that he was some kind of electrical genius who had built the suit as a way to commit crimes.
