JLA Classified #4
April 2005
Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis - writers, Kevin Maguire and Joe Rubinstein - artists, Bob Lappan - letterer, David Baron - colorist, Michael Siglain - asst. editor, Steve Wacker - editor

Not a true appearance. Not even a true cameo! The only reason I'm including this book is because Ambush Bug is mentioned (in text) on the cover. Guy Gardner, looming offscreen, says "You were expecting maybe Ambush Bug? (TM)" That's a pretty big deal, even if ol' Irwin appears nowhere inside the book. I'd love to know if Giff has ever seen this website and is just tossing in a Bug nod to see if Crazy Internet Fanboys will react to it. (Reported by Agent #013 Paul.)

Villains United #1
July 2005
Gail Simone - writer, Dale Eaglesham - artist, Wade von Grawbadger - inker, Jared K. Fletcher - letterer, Sno-Cone - colorist, Harvey Richards - asst. editor, Stephen Wacker - editor

I really shouldn't get into the habit of posting books that simply mention Ambush Bug, but this is a high profile title. Villains United is a miniseries leading into DC's 2005 major event, Infinite Crisis. In this book, one group of villains goes about recruiting/threatening other villains to join up with them. When they receive word of Catman's refusal, Deathstroke laughs and says "Next you'll tell me we were turned down by Ambush Bug and Crazy Quilt." Remember, Ambush Bug was originally a villain himself!

DC HeroClix: Collateral Damage
2005
Ambush Bug gets immortalized in plastic! Until they get around to doing the Alex Ross Ambush Bug from Kingdom Come, anyway.

HeroClix is a tabletop combat game played with teams of super-hero figures. Here's the info on the Ambush Bug Clix. He's rare and worth 50 points. (For comparison's sake, any given Superman figure is worth over 200 points! Somebody call Peabody, Dicker and Pending!)
